Pupil Leadership
Children at Christ Church Junior School have a number of opportunities to contribute to the vibrant life of our school community.
Whole School Pupil Leadership
Each year, every class in the school votes for two children to take part in the following groups:
- School Council (including online safety)
- Worship Leaders
- Eco Warriors
- Class Ambassadors
Courageous Advocacy
We believe that by encouraging pupils to take a leading role in different areas of school life, this will help equip them with skills that will last a lifetime. We encourage pupils to also take a stand for the things they believe in and so we regularly have pupils creating petitions, organising fundraising and coming to speak with Mrs Osborne about ways in which we could champion those around us. This also enables all the children to keep others in mind who may not have the same experiences and opportunities in life that we have. Many of our clubs and CCJ University groups also offer children the chance to make a difference in the world which comes under the fourth school pillar of 'creating the future'.
Year 6 Pupil Leadership
Every year 6 child in the school has a role of responsibility - from house captains to librarians and sports leaders to tuck monitors, our fantastic year 6 students help both adults and younger children throughout the day. Check out their badges to find out what role of responsibility they have!
Friendship buddies
Some of our year 5 children are friendship buddies, checking that their peers always have someone to play with and helping anybody who needs to talk. You will find them in the hi-vis jackets at breaktime and lunchtime!
