Art Leader: Ashlea Connor

At Christ Church Junior School, we are committed to provide an art curriculum that is enriching, inspiring and allows children to explore their creativity to its fullness. We foster a supportive approach that celebrates children’s successes outside of the core subjects and allows them to gain access to the cultural richness that art brings. Children explore and appreciate the work of other artists, concepts, knowledge and vocabulary; learn skills that are built upon within units and across the Lower and Upper Band; plan, produce and evaluate their final outcome. Children are highly engaged by interesting and vibrant learning and they have opportunities to express their responses in a visual or tactile form.
